MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ladies and gents! I am now the 2010 Miss Cabarrus County. When people say "Never give up on your dreams."... they could not be more right. Now it is on to Miss North Carolina in June! With exams right around the corner and my Miss Cabarrus County schedule taking shape I am starting to realize what a busy and exciting year this is going to be. None of this could have been possible without the love and support from my family and friends, and it definitely could not have been a possibility without God. He is the reason that I am able to do the things I do and accomplish goals such as this one. I know that he has so much in store for me and I just want to take in everything he has to offer for my life.
With the Christmas holiday nearing, now is the time when we all need to stop and realize just how much we need to thank God. It is not about the gifts, the Christmas trees, the lights, the busy shopping, or even the awesome pecan pie that my grandma makes. It is all about God sending his son to us, to save us. Let's all remember that.
So, while you are busy busy busy during this holiday season... do not forget to be thankful and remember Jesus' Birthday.
